General Handyman/Building Maintenance

Your Role
You are someone who is looking to utilize and grow your skills in maintenance work for a stable company working amongst great people in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting directly to our Facility Manager, you will assist in the routine maintenance, diagnosis of issues and repair of our facilities.
You will work from our Seattle headquarters in SODO (parking included free).
Your new job with us is full-time and anticipated to be Monday through Friday during business hours. Your role may require occasional evening and weekend work as well.
Your Compensation
Your compensation will depend on your experience (likely ranging from $25-$40/hour). You will receive your base wage plus you’ll participate in our quarterly company profit sharing program, which has recently averaged over 10 % of annual wages. You will also receive our other company benefits, which include, full health and dental with employer contributions to your HSA, a voluntary cash benefits program, paid vacation, sick, holiday and personal day and 401(k) with healthy employer matching program.
Specific Tasks
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and maintain company’s facilities
- Work with Facility Manager and the Maintenance Team to conduct Preventative Maintenance (as scheduled/required)
- Solve equipment issues in economical and safe fashion

- Been there, done that – Experience in building maintenance, including some automotive work, is preferred

CDL A Truck Driver/Up to $40 per hour/Home Daily

- Service our scrap metal accounts around Western Washington

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM JOB
- May require dexterity when strapping/unstrapping tubs
- Must exhibit a high level of endurance, energy, and strength to successfully perform duties
EXPERIENCE
- Must be a Class A driver with preferred minimum of two years’ experience
- Roll-off and flatbed experience is a plus
- Ability to communicate orally and written in a professional manner

Diesel Fleet Mechanic
Salary: Up to $50/hr
Your Role
You are someone who is looking to utilize and grow your skills in mechanical and maintenance work for a stable company working amongst great people in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting directly to our Facility Manager, you will assist in the routine maintenance, diagnosis of issues and repair of our fleet and facilities, including the following equipment:
- Semi and Roll-Off Trucks
- Forklifts
- Skid steers
- And other facility equipment.
You will work from our Seattle headquarters in SODO.
Your new job with us is full-time and anticipated to be Monday through Friday during business hours (with OT opportunities).
Your Compensation
Your compensation will depend on your experience. You will receive your base wage plus you’ll participate in our quarterly company profit sharing program, which has averaged over 10% of annual wages in the past. Specific Tasks
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain all equipment, commercial fleet operations, diesel engines, air brakes, forklifts, hydraulic based machinery and electronics
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services on truck/trailer, forklifts, and heavy equipment
- Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition
- Changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
- Repair and troubleshoot major components such as engine, transmissions, differentials, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems, including replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
- Perform duties with little or no supervision and in a timely and efficient manner
- Solve equipment issues in economical and safe fashion
- Keep log of preventive maintenance performed and document recommended services needed
- Maintain a clean work area
- Perform other duties as requested by Facility Manager
Your Skills
- Been there, done that – Experience in diagnosing truck and forklift engine and other mechanical issues, changing hydraulic hoses, changing oil, filters, fuel filters, air filters, greasing truck chassis, and equipment is preferred
- Fueled – Knowledge of diesel engines is a plus
- Versatile – Comfortable working on multiple issues at once
- Problem Solver – Works with limited technical guidance

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operating a forklift in the movement of bins and equipment
- Grading and sorting products according to factors such as color, length, width, appearance, feel, and quality to ensure correct processing
- Basic sorting of scrap, as well as metal and debris in preparation processing
- Assisting with yard/facility cleanup and maintenance
- Following all safety guidelines and protocol, including wearing of all PPE
- Employees may be required to work some overtime on certain Saturdays until noon
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM JOB
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time, hear audible warning signals, walk and stand on uneven surfaces, lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Operating and moving various equipment may require dexterity to push, pull, climb, bend, twist, turn, reach, etc.
- Must exhibit a high level of endurance, energy, and strength to successfully perform duties
EXPERIENCE
- Experience driving a forklift is necessary
- Ability to be flexible to changing work conditions and assignments, and work well within a team
- Experience working within the Scrap Metal industry an asset
- Skid steer experience is a plus
- Experience torching scrap metal is also a plus

Salary: $70-90k annually

Scrap Metal Burner
Salary: Up to $25/hr
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Torch cut scrap metal of various sizes down to specified dimensions using an oxygen/natural gas torch
- Adherence with company safety and environmental standards
- Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections to ensure equipment is in good working order
- Assisting with yard/facility cleanup and maintenance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM JOB
- Good visual acuity

Scale Operator

You will succeed here if you are an organized, team player, who provides great customer service and knows how to work in a blue collar industry.
Reporting directly to our Vice President of Operations, you will work alongside our team of buyers to work with existing and potential customers/suppliers in the maritime and aerospace industries and beyond. You will be trained from scratch even if you have no experience, and you will have the support of many years of experience in the people around you.
For those that have longer career aspirations, this role has room to expand into into higher leadership if interested. You will work from our Seattle headquarters in SODO (parking included).
